Getting to know me...
Hello lovers of the stage, my name is Tabitha (Tab) and I moved to London at the start of 2024.
I came to the city and the number of shows I had seen; I could count on my hands. Going to the theatre became a regular hobby, because it was easier to access and gave me the opportunity to dip my toes into new theatre experiences. The aim of my theatre community is to discuss our love for theatre, but also convince you all to try something new. These posts and reviews keep my best memories from shows alive, like a stagey diary if you will.
Tab's Theatre Journey
Theatre has been a love of mine since I was young, BLAH BLAH BLAH... yes just like everyone else. I dreamt of being an actress and auditioned to get into drama school at 18 and didn't get in. RADA laughed at me, ouch. I got an offer from the University of Chichester to enroll on the BA(hons) in Acting. Then, when I graduated, I moved back home to find my feet and then COVID hit. I started a new, unexpected journey in pharmacy and trained for 2 years to become a registered pharmacy technician. Which is now me.

There was a huge Globe Theatre sized hole in my heart, because this girl is a creative and theatre feels like home. So, when I moved to London to make a start in my Pharmacy Technician career, in my free time I went to shows. When I say free time, I mean a lot of it. I started writing my theatre reviews, because my gran told me to and I usually listen to her. It's opened a new door for me, I've met some brilliant people and experienced new things. This venture is unexpected and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

My dream is to perform and my heart longs for a chance to get back on that stage. To be honest, I don't think the theatre world is ready for this ginger bombshell yet... Let's see where this path takes me and I hope you come along for the ride.

Favourite Musical: Operation Mincemeat, but I do a great one woman show of Hamiliton.
Favourite Opera: Marriage of Figaro
Favourite Ballet: The Nutcracker
Favourite Play: Shifters
Favourite Dance: Revelations (Alvin Ailey)
