Not a dry eye in the room! A few weeks ago, we were invited along to celebrate the launch of Anna Jordan's collection of poetry. A jack of all trades indeed! This is a little different to what we are used to on 'Tab in The City', but I think theatre is emotion, and this poetry collection is real emotion! From start to finish.

Have you ever been curious about poetry or felt like it might not be for you? You are wrong. It's not all about rhymes and big words. It is this stunning art form that can be presented in various ways. Being in that room, filled with curious listeners, eager to hear what Jordan was putting out there, I don't think any of us were ready for what she had created.

'Decade' is a poetry book that gives you a look into so many trials and tribulations a woman may encounter. It goes into the stages of grief, motherhood, love and the feelings of being a woman in our society. It will make you laugh, cry, and you'll want to share it with all your gal pals. It's a voice that we all need to guide us through blossoming into a woman and getting through adulthood. It makes you feel like what you're going through, the feelings you feel and how you navigate EVERYTHING is normal and you are NOT alone.

It is a blessing to get your hands on her writing; it's a bright light at the end of a tunnel. I was grateful to hear a snippet and to relate to a few things that I thought I was going through alone. It was such a soul-soothing and bright evening. I look forward to seeing what writing she creates next! What other talents are you hiding, Anna Jordan?
