Hot from the theatre world today: Stage Door Theatre have announced that Tim Edwards will now play 'Alvin Kelby' in the new upcoming show this autumn. The Broadway Musical 'The Story of My life', Music and Lyrics by Neil Bartram and Book by Brian Hill. It shows at Stage Door Theatre, above the Prince of Wales Pub in Covent Garden. Tim Edwards will be joining Marcus Sodergren in the two man show.
Tim Edwards has previously been in 'The Book of Morman' (West End), Wicked (UK tour), Grease the Musical (European tour) and more. His co-star Marcus was previously in the Stage Door Theatre 'Marry me a little', which showed earlier this year and he was nominated for an 'Offie' for 'Best Lead Performance in a musical'.
The show focuses on the friendship between two characters: Alvin and Thomas who are reunited within the mind of Thomas, following the death of Alvin. Thomas is writing Alvin's eulogy, reliving memories of their youth, the highs and the lows. The show explores themes of friendship, rememberance and growth.
'The Story of My Life' the Broadway musical produced by LAMBCO will run from the 10th September - 19th October. The production is directed by Robert McWhir, the musical director is Aaron Clingham and designed by David Sheilds.
